The round building in the Exhibition Grounds is the home of a remarkable work painted by the Czech artist Luděk Marold between 1897 and 1898 – a panoramic painting of the Battle of Lipany, which took place on May 30, 1434. At 11 m high and 95 m long, it’s the largest Czech painting of a historical event. The panorama is enhanced by real items that lend a three-dimensional effect to the painting.
